About the role
- Support the management of security initiatives under the direction of senior security personnel
- Assist in implementing security policies and standards, collaborating with the security team
- Monitor security events and incidents, escalating and documenting as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance security measures and maintain compliance
- Aid in compliance efforts, assisting in audits and ensuring documentation is up to date
- Contribute to incident response activities, participating in investigations and reporting
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of security best practices and trends
- Support the delivery of security awareness training to employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role
- Proven experience in information security
- Proficiencies in risk management, compliance, and security technologies
- A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
- Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus
