About the role
- Validate payroll inputs received from different stakeholders and update Payroll System
- Validate Payroll Output files as per the payroll calendar and perform fundamental payroll validations (Input vs Output)
- Ensure all deductions comply with statutory regulation
- Perform the payroll run in the GHR system and complete payroll activities as per payroll calendar
- Ensure all entries are posted in GSAP/SAP system and reconcile salary register with ledger accounts
- Initiate off-cycle payments and assist in preparing full and final settlements
- Handle employee queries and provide timely resolutions
- Ensure statutory payments are initiated before due dates and save remittance details in shared folder
- Assist department in understanding payroll process updates and statutory changes made by Government
- Prepare, analyze, and publish monthly financial KPIs for payroll
- Maintain integrity of accounting and budgeting software systems by checking for errors and inconsistencies
- Prepare schedules and reports for accruals and ensure entries are posted before book closing
- Save audit evidences in shared folder
Requirements
- Payroll Experience in UK and Ireland with Accounting knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge in Payroll, Finance & Accounting
- Good knowledge in Workday and SAP
- 5 to 7 Years of Payroll Experience with Accounting knowledge
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
- Good communication skills to interact with employees and senior management
- Good interpersonal skills for communicating with other departments and answering employee questions
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Good presentation skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
