About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Day-to-day handling of a portfolio compromising of Motor claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving and settlement
  • Ensure reserving philosophy is adhered to and reserves booked are in compliance with company protocols
  • Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams in connection with claim issues, trends, review of reinsurance contract language and service standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers and market peers
  • Monitor trends and developments in Motor claims and keep underwriters and actuaries up to date
  • Keep up to date with legal developments, i.e. relevant case law; new and developing precedents; changes in legislation that impacts the portfolios
  • Collaborate with members of the Global claims team on common claims and internal processes to ensure consistency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience dealing with Motor claims from cradle to grave
  • Business acumen and an understanding of the clients' needs
  • Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients, including Solicitors and Brokers
  • High level of financial and commercial awareness
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse information
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks
