About the role
- Management, monitoring, and further development of processes in short-term trading (intraday), schedule management, and deployment planning
- Ensuring smooth operations and taking independent responsibility for manual recovery in case of deviations
- Close collaboration with the analytics team to assess market events and optimize trading strategies
- Coordination with grid operators, trading partners, and plant operators (e.g., for redispatch, outages, process adjustments)
- Support of projects to integrate additional flexible assets
- Contribution to the development of tools for process automation, monitoring, and analysis, with a focus on Airflow
Requirements
- Completed degree in engineering or natural sciences (Bachelor) or a comparable qualification
- At least five years of professional experience in a comparable role in energy trading
- Experience with algorithmic trading systems; ideally experience in short-term trading of power and gas and in marketing complex generation portfolios
- Good knowledge of Python and SQL; experience with GitLab and Airflow is desirable
- Strong commitment and willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota
- Very good German and English language skills
- Strong initiative, excellent team skills, and an analytical, structured working style
