About the role
- Take a strategic, structured, and proactive approach to growing Duolingo's business through product and consumer partnerships that enable app features, drive brand awareness, monetization, and user growth
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to influence product integrations vital for strategic partnerships (OEMs, payment providers, AI players)
- Source, conceptualize, negotiate, and implement partnership opportunities with measurable impact to metrics such as user growth, subscription revenue, and brand awareness
- Build compelling and quantifiable business cases for strategic bets
- Collaborate with Marketing teams to amplify partnership launches through buzzworthy activations
- Drive partnerships through full lifecycle: deal sourcing, negotiation, implementation, and tracking results
Requirements
- 5+ years of business development experience, having successfully developed partnerships in the digital consumer tech (B2C) space
- 2+ years of management consulting or investment banking experience
- Experience building product partnerships in with AI, Payments or Mobile players
- Experience conceiving, developing, and implementing partnerships throughout their full cycles, from deal sourcing, to building business cases, negotiating agreements, driving and tracking results
- Critical thinking and structured thought process, with skills to build and communicate compelling, data-driven narratives
- Ambitious spirit with a track record of driving impact by building long-lasting external relationships, collaborating effectively with multiple internal teams to drive ideas to execution, and taking a test and scale approach
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Exceptional: Experience with mobile apps and subscription services
- Exceptional: MBA from reputable university
- Exceptional: Proficiency in a 3rd language
