About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform sonographic procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures to reduce anxiety and enhance comfort
  • Produce examinations meeting image quality standards and department protocols
  • Submit images for physician interpretation
  • Verify patient demographic information, clinical diagnosis, and required technical results
  • Complete all technical data entry components before the end of shift
  • Monitor stock supplies, reorder items, rotate dated items, and maintain clean, orderly imaging rooms
  • Report equipment failures
  • Support organizational changes
  • Adhere to institutional safety procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary patient care with nurses and physicians
  • Model service principles focused on innovation, service excellence, teamwork, and high-quality patient care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • ARDMS certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • One to three years of ultrasound experience preferred
  • Comfortable working between our Naperville and Lisle offices
