About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling.
- Measure vital signs and collect health history.
- Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures.
- Assist with immunizations or injections when certified.
- Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks.
- Process provider orders, update charting, and maintain filing.
- Conduct onsite lab testing, including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
- Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms.
- Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
- Travel to assist other local clinics as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
- Active medical assistant certification may be required for several clinical specialties, including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA.
- CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
- May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
- Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.
- Travel as needed; some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.
