About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs, and collecting health history
- Support physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures
- Assist with immunizations or injections when certified
- Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks
- Process provider orders, update charting, and maintain filing
- Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests
- Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms
- Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
- Travel to assist other local clinics as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences, or related experience required
- Active medical assistant certification may be required for Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice specialties through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA
- CPR certification required, or willingness to become certified upon hire
- Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire
- Prior experience as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or 2 years of prior experience in a medical office assisting with patient care
- Ability to perform EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy testing
- Ability to assist with immunizations or injections when certified
- Ability to travel to other local clinics as needed
