About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs, and collecting health history
  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures
  • Assist with immunizations or injections when certified
  • Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks
  • Process provider orders, update charting, and maintain filing
  • Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests
  • Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
  • Travel to assist other local clinics as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences, or related experience required
  • Active medical assistant certification may be required for Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice specialties through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA
  • CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required
  • Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire
  • Prior experience as an MA, CMA, CNA, or EMT, or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
  • Prior experience using an electronic medical record preferred
  • College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and pursuing a healthcare career are welcome to apply
