About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs, and collecting health history
Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes, and other first aid procedures
Assist with immunizations or injections when certified
Assist patients with prescription requests and address pharmacy callbacks
Process provider orders, update charting, and maintain filing
Conduct onsite lab testing including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests
Maintain clean, warm, and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
Travel to assist other local clinics as required

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED required
Completion of a Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences, or related experience required
Active medical assistant certification may be required for Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice specialties through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA
CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required
Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire
Prior experience as an MA, CMA, CNA, or EMT, or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care
Prior experience using an electronic medical record preferred
College graduates from a health sciences program interested in gaining patient care experience and pursuing a healthcare career are welcome to apply
