About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide engineering and technical expertise and guidance in identifying, analyzing, and resolving increasingly complex problems
  • Contribute to team decision-making through planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring work activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience for Engineer II
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience for Engineer III
  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles
  • Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
  • Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam preferred
  • Increasingly proficient in principles of project management
  • Experience in the utility industry preferred
  • Department-specific experience applicable to the hiring department preferred
  • Demonstrated advancing application of engineering theories and principles
  • Increasingly proficient in researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing and presenting recommendations
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
