About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create construction prints and evaluate materials and labor needed for project construction
  • Provide customer service through effective oral and written communication
  • Provide engineering and technical expertise in identifying, analyzing and resolving well-defined problems
  • Contribute to team decision-making through planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring work activities
  • Prepare technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience
  • A Master's degree in Engineering may be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles
  • Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations
  • Ability to deal with individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam
  • Understanding of basic principles of project management
  • Experience in the utility industry
  • Department-specific experience applicable to the hiring department
