About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create construction prints and evaluate materials and labor needed for project construction
Provide customer service through effective oral and written communication
Provide engineering and technical expertise in identifying, analyzing and resolving well-defined problems
Contribute to team decision-making through planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring work activities
Prepare technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
Conduct engineering and related studies
Complete routine engineering projects with minimal oversight
Design, operate and maintain systems with minimal impact on existing systems
Develop positive working relationships and coordinate work activities
Support company goals and represent the company positively and professionally

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience
A Master's degree in Engineering may be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
Valid driver's license
Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles
Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations
Ability to deal with individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
Good written and oral communication skills
Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam
Understanding of basic principles of project management
Experience in the utility industry
Department-specific experience applicable to the hiring department
