About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform Design Tool entry, work management system support, and general support to Designers while managing system queues
  • Enter projects into the work management system using Designer field notes, templates, Expert Designer, or other methods
  • Apply standard designs to lower-complexity corrective maintenance, follow-up, and routine program work
  • Assist Designers with work order preparation for revenue work, major projects, maintenance, and program work
  • Copy and translate Designer sketches and notes into construction prints attached to work orders
  • Complete work orders that do not require a field visit or Designer guidance
  • Verify and complete work management system dependencies before releasing jobs
  • Update work management system status, project comments, customer comments, and contact information
  • Perform customer calls and coordinate right-of-way, site readiness, schedules, reschedules, CIAC, invoices, and site delivery
  • Compile, review, and print work management system reports
  • Contact customers to confirm project details and schedules
  • Manage Designer communications, including customer outages, letters, invoices, and other customer communications
  • Coordinate requests between Designers, Schedulers, C&M Specialists, and other parties
  • Report job status details to Designers, C&M Specialists, and contract construction crews
  • Handle customer information system inquiries and centralized group requests
  • Support subdivision design and help Designers obtain customer information system data
  • Prepare for and provide storm support as needed
  • Participate actively in safety meetings and support Human Performance safety culture
  • Follow ergonomics and office safety guidelines
  • Support corporate initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree
  • Alternatively, High School/GED and 2 years of related work experience
  • Ability to work independently in E&CP tools
  • Strong computer systems knowledge
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility and dependability during storm events and regular work
  • Ability to manage stressful situations
  • Proficiency in computer-based work management systems
  • Knowledge of E&CP processes, work management systems, and related computer applications
  • Experience using computer-based drawing tools
  • Ability to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Ability to travel 5-15%
