About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- manage work in engineering areas of specialization
- develop advanced skills and work independently
- identify problems, develop solutions and take action to resolve
- provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of complex EMS problems
- conduct engineering and related studies with technical responsibility for planning and coordinating complex projects
- maintain knowledge of EMS advanced software applications
- provide leadership in the development of corporate positions on technical matters related to EMS
- prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
- develop positive working relationships to coordinate work activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- six (6) years minimum required related experience
- Extensive experience with General Electric Grid EMS/DMS systems
- In Depth knowledge of NERC CIP cyber security standards
- Broad experience with Electric Transmission systems, including NERC transmission reliability standards (BA, TOP, etc.)
- Comprehensive experience with real time computer systems, including programming languages (C++, FORTRAN, etc.), scripting languages (PERL, etc.)
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
