About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide engineering support to Transmission System Operations
- Participate in project development meetings providing operational input
- Perform high-quality outage studies with the intent to become an SME of the Duke Energy Indiana Transmission grid
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate capital project execution and maintenance scheduling while ensuring compliance with transmission system operating constraints and reliability requirements
- Provide training assistance to System Operators as needed
- Act as an SME and Owner of various operating plans and procedures including participating in audits and internal spot checks
- Support various MISO operating committees and working groups, providing input and feedback regarding Duke Energy positions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree
- Two (2) years minimum required related experience
