Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides deep technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
  • Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
  • Independently prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.
  • Conducts engineering and related studies.
  • Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
  • Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintains accurate records and files.
  • Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Either 2+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 4+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 6+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
  • Either 4+ years of relevant industry experience coupled with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 6+ years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 8+ years equivalent experience without a degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology.
  • Electric Utility Distribution Experience, especially with customer-facing design work.
  • Experience with Damage Assessment during storms.
  • Comfortable working safely in the field and driving as a lone worker.
  • Has experience working with customers and construction crews.
  • Experience using Work Order Design Tools, especially DesignLite, BOUD, Maximo, SEDS, or AutoCAD.
