About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
- Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
- Conducts engineering and related studies; completes non-routine engineering projects with minimal oversight
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer
- A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
- Proficient in engineering theories and principles
- Proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues
- Ability to read and follow Emerson Ovation, Siemens T-3000 and GE Mk VI logic
- Experience with electrical equipment such as industrial breakers, transformers, PLC, pressure and temperature transmitters
- Experience in power generation industry, including Combined Cycle, Simple Cycle and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation
- Demonstrated troubleshooting experience and skills
