Key responsibilities & impact

Provide knowledge and competency-based training to operating personnel
Responsible for developing new and experienced system operators
Analyze, design and develop training materials
Evaluate learning through assessment tools and performance demonstration using simulation technology
Develop the required competencies necessary to be successful in the role of a System Operations Technical Trainer
Oversee training and development of Bulk Electric System Operators
Collaborate with the Director and trainers within the SysOps training organization
Document a System Operator's initial training & track NERC Certified System Operators continuing education training hours
Handle unexpected training challenges in the system operator’s training environment

What you’ll need

Technical degree
In addition to required degree, two (2) year related work experience
In lieu of Technical degree(s), High School/GED AND 4 year(s) related work experience
NERC Certified Operator
Excellent People skills
Excellent Communication Skills
Good written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated excellence in job performance at previous level
Demonstrated competencies in Presentation Skills, Conflict Management, Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Word & Excel
Experienced in Course Development
