About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support mechanical/civil technical design and project coordination.
  • Research engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, determine and present recommendations to resolve issues.
  • Develop or revise design/procurement specifications or technical requirements documents.
  • Develop the scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes.
  • Provide ongoing support of assigned engineering design changes through work order reviews, corrective action program assignments, and field installation support activities.
  • Develop or revise complex engineering calculations impacted by engineering design changes.
  • Revise site design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory documents impacted by engineering design changes.
  • Communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders and teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Nuclear Engineer I: 0-2 years of engineering experience
  • Nuclear Engineer II: 2-4 years of engineering experience
  • Master’s degree in Engineering considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
  • Background in heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and rotating equipment
  • Understanding of engineering theories and principles in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and hydraulic fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills required to provide effective inter-discipline coordination on projects.
  • Experience with general computer skills including Windows, e-mail, Microsoft Office products, and engineering products
