About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Executes the sourcing process for assigned business areas and implements policies and procedures directed towards providing contracted services/materials.
  • Manages request for proposals and bidding processes while establishing and nurturing relationships with key suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Achieves the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal business unit partnerships.
  • Solves more complex problems with some supervision.
  • Develops advanced skills and the ability to work with greater independence.
  • Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for corporate guidelines, legal, and environmental regulations.
  • Enhances category management through strategic analysis of assigned categories.
  • Identifies and anticipates Business Unit demand and needs, issues, and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develops enterprise and regional sourcing strategies with key business partners and cross functional teams for equipment, materials, and/or services.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree AND two (2) years related work experience
  • In lieu of Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; High School Degree/GED AND six (6) years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree AND five (5) years related work experience
  • In lieu of Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of related work experience; High School Degree/GED AND nine (9) years of related work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Project Management/Controls experience
  • Certified Purchasing Manager and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management
  • Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving, analytical and leadership skills
  • Experience with RFP/RFI systems and processes
  • Previous sourcing/purchasing experience buying services/materials
  • Strategic sourcing experience for category plans/bid events
  • A natural time manager with the ability to manage a robust workload and pay attention to detail
  • Outstanding planning/organization skills
  • Problem-solving/statistical/analytical skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and team building skills
