Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides subject matter technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise
  • Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
  • Independently reviews and prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
  • Conducts engineering and related studies
  • Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
  • Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
  • Maintains accurate records and files
  • Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally
  • Coaches and mentors other Engineering Technologists and Engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 2 years relevant industry experience
  • Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 4 years of relevant industry experience
  • In lieu of above listed degrees, High School/GED AND 6 years relevant industry experience
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 4 years relevant industry experience (for Senior)
  • Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 6 years of relevant industry experience (for Senior)
  • In lieu of above listed degrees, High School/GED AND 8 years relevant industry experience (for Senior)
  • Experience with CAD
  • Experience in Electric Distribution Utility Design
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in the electric utility industry
  • Able to effectively apply basic principles of project management
