Engineering Technologist – Level III, Senior

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides subject matter technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
- Independently reviews and prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
- Conducts engineering and related studies
- Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
- Maintains accurate records and files
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally
- Coaches and mentors other Engineering Technologists and Engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 2 years relevant industry experience
- Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 4 years of relevant industry experience
- In lieu of above listed degrees, High School/GED AND 6 years relevant industry experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 4 years relevant industry experience (for Senior)
- Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology AND 6 years of relevant industry experience (for Senior)
- In lieu of above listed degrees, High School/GED AND 8 years relevant industry experience (for Senior)
- Experience with CAD
- Experience in Electric Distribution Utility Design
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience in the electric utility industry
- Able to effectively apply basic principles of project management
