About the role
- Support development phase of major project scope and EPC bid package.
- Support development with Transmission for interconnection design and ensure project contract documentation aligns with interconnection scope.
- Support cost estimate, schedule, risk analysis, bid evaluation and contract development.
- Provide engineering oversight to ensure compliance with project requirements, contract, and design criteria.
- Participate in design reviews, drawing reviews, construction support, resolution of technical RFIs, commissioning support and project warranty support.
- Specifying and procuring Emerson DCS equipment.
- Developing and reviewing the control logic and graphics.
- Leading the hardware and software factory acceptance testing.
- Provide oversight for the construction and programming of the site controls and cyber security assets.
- Maintain compliance with applicable industry standards (ISA, IEEE, NFPA, NERC, etc.)
- On-site engineering support for construction and commissioning of projects.
- Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems of increasing scope and complexity in both inside as well as outside the scope of typical responsibility.
- Assists in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees.
- Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches related to defined problems and analysis of increasing scope and complexity.
Requirements
- Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or PE
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer
- A master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
- Strong working knowledge Emerson Ovation control system and Allen – Bradley PLCs
- Comprehensive knowledge of fundamental engineering theories and principles.
- Knowledge of researching engineering and design issues, assessing options, and giving effective recommendations and presentations.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Passing grade on the Engineering Fundamentals Exam and desire to complete PE license.
