About the role
- managing and ensuring the accuracy of the payroll process
- overseeing the preparation of payroll
- ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations
- maintaining accurate payroll records
- assisting with day-to-day payroll activities and payroll processing tasks
- conducting tax compliance research
- performing data analysis and participating in varying projects
- identifying process improvements and implementing payroll best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- three (3) years minimum of related work experience
- in lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma AND seven (7) years minimum of related work experience
- Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll Certification (CPP/FPC) (preferred)
- working knowledge of Form W-2 reporting, compliance, and mapping of data
- experience effectively managing outsourced vendor relationships
- experience performing in-depth payroll, payroll tax, and quality assurance analysis related to pay policy & practices
- proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and using pivot tables
