About the role

  • provide strategic financial leadership and comprehensive support to the Florida Progress Board
  • ensure effective oversight, transparent reporting, and alignment of financial strategies with organizational objectives
  • develop and implement a robust financial governance framework
  • prepare thorough financial materials for board meetings
  • manage and resolve all follow-up actions stemming from Board meetings
  • collaborate closely with the FP&A team on long-term financial plans
  • oversee the monthly review process for current year financials
  • assist with development of comprehensive strategic plans
  • facilitate governance structures to guide major organizational initiatives
  • assist with meeting preparation, reporting, and follow-up for the BOD and SMC
  • support major FL/MW initiatives to align with organizational goals
  • provide ongoing support for the FL/MW ECO process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • eight (8) years minimum of related work experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Strong financial background
  • Strong business and financial acumen, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of business administration and business forecasting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in developing financial materials and tracking tools
