Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Hematology

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- collaborate with attending physicians
- collect and document data
- conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- order and schedule laboratory studies
- provide direct patient care services
- help in the coordination of a new inpatient in person and telehealth service for hematology consultation
- perform triage and physical exam
- prescribe appropriate interventions and medications
- analyze clinical practice patterns to provide the best medical care
- timely document all relevant data in the electronic medical record
- provide inpatient consultation and follow up when rounding APP is unavailable
Requirements
What you’ll need- completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master's degree in Nursing
- completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred
- BLS required
- current or compact RN licensure & NP approval to practice in the state of North Carolina
- National certification as a NP required
- licensed in the state of NC and be certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- DEA licensure with full prescriptive authority required
- 1+ years of APP experience preferred
