About the role

  • Support strategic communications initiatives that promote the school’s research, faculty expertise, student achievements, and community impact.
  • Contribute to storytelling efforts that align with institutional priorities and enhance the school’s visibility.
  • Help support and elevate communications platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and web-based news features.
  • Assist the team with creation and dissemination of content, which may include social media posts, short-form video content, event promotion, graphics, and visual assets.
  • Review past projects to provide recommendations for visual content strategy focused on increasing engagement and boosting views.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Portfolio of creative work (video, graphics, and/or photography)
  • Strong visual and storytelling skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to meet deadlines and arrive on time for scheduled meetings (virtual or in-person)
  • Confidence in contributing creative ideas
  • Open to constructive feedback and committed to refining creative work through collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with current social media platforms, trends, and analytics
  • Basic video editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software)
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
  • Photography and/or videography experience a plus
