About the role

  • assist in operational and programmatic activities with ENC-HEAL team
  • implement educational and youth empowerment activities
  • participate in training to develop skills to facilitate various selected Evidence-Based Program (EBP) curricula
  • implement selected Evidence Based Program (EBP) curricula to adolescents in various settings
  • educate ENC-HEAL participants, families, and partners of available resources
  • assist ENC-HEAL participants, families, and partners in obtaining support
  • act as a client advocate and support the development of problem-solving skills
  • attend various ENC-HEAL meetings
  • maintain necessary tracking of implementation activities, attendance, and fidelity to proposed curricula
  • use social media platforms to promote ENC-HEAL and Duke Teen Health Club
  • assist with program coordination activities
  • perform other related duties

Requirements

  • educational background equivalent to a high school education
  • one year of experience working with youth in community-based or other settings
  • valid North Carolina driver's license with a good driving record
  • computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • strong instructional and training skills preferred
  • demonstrated knowledge and ability to work independently and as a team member
  • ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
  • culturally and linguistically appropriate
