About the role

  • Responsible for the development, deployment, training, post-implementation support, product design, and testing cycles of the Epic Inpatient system
  • Provide identified liaison services between Epic and identified application deployment and development staff
  • Create and carry out implementation tasks, clinical workflow interpretation
  • Participate in Epic application build, testing and support for the assigned clinical module
  • Act as Epic application specialist for base functionality
  • Work with others on the Application Support team to manage all user access to Epic systems
  • Update test plans to account for testing of new features with all releases
  • Participate in design sessions and review of specifications for new features and enhancements in the Epic module.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in a clinical field
  • Three years inpatient clinical experience or offsetting informatics in healthcare experience
  • Five years of progressive healthcare IT experience
  • Knowledge and experience with health care information systems
  • Advanced training in SAS, JMP or other statistical software packages
  • IT or clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: OR, Anesthesia, Emergency, Pharmacy, Oncology, CPOE, Clinical Documentation, Obstetrics/L&D, Radiology, Transplant or Ophthalmology.
