About the role
- Empower data-driven decision-making across the School of Medicine by turning complex needs into clear, actionable insights
- Translate business needs into technical solutions
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports
- Ensuring the integrity and usability of data across clinical, research, and administrative domains
- Collaborate with stakeholders across SOM Finance, Administration, IT, and academic units
- Deliver scalable analytics solutions and promote data governance and literacy
Requirements
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience working in academic medicine or healthcare preferred
- Familiarity with Duke-specific systems and data platforms (e.g., SAP, BW, SPS, WebCentral/Archibus)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with data governance frameworks and data architecture
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, information systems, public health, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, data analytics, or business intelligence
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience with other querying languages (e.g., SAS, Python, R)
