About the role

  • Overseeing the DUHS People Relations team
  • Collaborate with entity HR Business Partner leadership
  • Advise both system and entity operational leaders regarding employee and labor relations
  • Lead a team of People Relations Consultants for investigations and employee relations training
  • Establish standard service level agreements for timely resolution of matters
  • Advise supervisors and managers on complex employee situations
  • Partner closely with Duke stakeholders and HR leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, human resources, or a related discipline
  • 8 years of human resources experience with at least 5 years in a management or director-level role
  • Deep understanding of workplace investigation and labor law and regulations
  • Experience in a large, complex, and healthcare environment
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies and labor agreements
  • Experience driving innovative and contemporary HR solutions, process improvement, and labor strategies
