About the role
- Provide self-image consultations to patients.
- Consultations include: Education about topics such as hair loss, scalp care, hair care; and skin changes.
- Education about available products and services (such as prosthetics and orthotics, wigs, skin care products, make-up products, scarves, hats, clothing, self-image counseling, sexual health and intimacy services).
- Personalized recommendations for self-image products based on patient preference.
- Education/hands-on training for patients re: wig care, hair care, skin care, scalp care, make-up techniques, scarf tying, clothing options, etc.
- Support to patients and family members coping with impact of treatments (radiation therapy; chemotherapy; surgery; etc.).
- Education about, and referral to, support services, as needed.
- Retail responsibilities, such as opening and closing of store and register(s); sales transactions.
- Balancing cash drawer and credit card transactions, make bank deposits, daily sales documentation and reporting.
- Merchandise and in-kind donation inventory intake.
- Upkeep of product displays.
- Site-specific supervision and training of volunteers.
- Maintaining clean, safe environment for patients and their family members.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma
- Experience: Two years of customer service experience.
