About the role
- Complete patient accounts based on departmental protocol, policies, and procedures
- Analyze insurance coverage and benefits for service
- Facilitate payment sources for uninsured patients
- Admit, register, and preregister patients with accurate demographic and financial data
- Resolve insurance claim rejections/denials
- Calculate and collect cash payments appropriately
Requirements
- Knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles
- 2 years' experience working in hospital service access, clinical service access, physician office, or billing and collections
- Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field and 1 year of experience working with the public
- Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience working with the public
