About the role
- Performs Spanish interpretation, translation and Medical escort services
- Face to face interpretation for medical appointments
- Phone/ video interpretation
- Translation of documentation for providers/clinicians
- Ensure accurate communication of patient’s outpatient services, hospitalization, treatment plans, follow-up appointments and Health Care Education
- Maintain confidentiality of all assignment-related information
- Provide interpreter services, and convey the exact message
- Promote customer satisfaction related to Duke services; notify Supervisor of any issues
- Participate in continuing education programs and competency training
Requirements
- Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training
- Certification as a certified Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO)
