About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Negotiate, sign and close catalog acquisition deals with artists, songwriters, and other music creators
  • Work directly with Duetti's A&R, Underwriting, Legal and Finance teams to lead acquisitions
  • Shape and execute Duetti's acquisition strategy
  • Collaborate closely with Duetti's Head of Sourcing and the senior leadership team
  • Operate at the intersection of Music, Operations and Data Analytics
  • Help independent music creators grow both professionally and financially

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in private equity, investment banking, or other relevant finance or professional services role
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret and manipulate complex and unstructured data
  • An understanding of the music industry, and an ability to interpret and navigate complex deal structures fluidly
  • Experience in opportunity and risk assessment, with an ability to make informed decisions during negotiations and diligence
  • Ability to quickly interpret and synthesize legal agreements
  • Proven attention to detail, strong work ethic and enthusiasm for working in an early stage start-up environment that requires “self starters” and problem solvers
  • A love for music and culture, and a desire to be at the forefront of new business models for artists
