About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Negotiate, sign and close catalog acquisition deals with artists, songwriters, and other music creators
Work directly with Duetti's A&R, Underwriting, Legal and Finance teams to lead acquisitions
Shape and execute Duetti's acquisition strategy
Collaborate closely with Duetti's Head of Sourcing and the senior leadership team
Operate at the intersection of Music, Operations and Data Analytics
Help independent music creators grow both professionally and financially

Requirements

What you’ll need

1-2 years of proven experience in private equity, investment banking, or other relevant finance or professional services role
Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret and manipulate complex and unstructured data
An understanding of the music industry, and an ability to interpret and navigate complex deal structures fluidly
Experience in opportunity and risk assessment, with an ability to make informed decisions during negotiations and diligence
Ability to quickly interpret and synthesize legal agreements
Proven attention to detail, strong work ethic and enthusiasm for working in an early stage start-up environment that requires “self starters” and problem solvers
A love for music and culture, and a desire to be at the forefront of new business models for artists
