About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate, sign and close catalog acquisition deals with artists, songwriters, and other music creators
- Work directly with Duetti's A&R, Underwriting, Legal and Finance teams to lead acquisitions
- Shape and execute Duetti's acquisition strategy
- Collaborate closely with Duetti's Head of Sourcing and the senior leadership team
- Operate at the intersection of Music, Operations and Data Analytics
- Help independent music creators grow both professionally and financially
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-2 years of proven experience in private equity, investment banking, or other relevant finance or professional services role
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret and manipulate complex and unstructured data
- An understanding of the music industry, and an ability to interpret and navigate complex deal structures fluidly
- Experience in opportunity and risk assessment, with an ability to make informed decisions during negotiations and diligence
- Ability to quickly interpret and synthesize legal agreements
- Proven attention to detail, strong work ethic and enthusiasm for working in an early stage start-up environment that requires “self starters” and problem solvers
- A love for music and culture, and a desire to be at the forefront of new business models for artists
