About the role
- negotiating, signing and closing catalog acquisition deals with artists, songwriters, and other music creators
- working directly with Duetti’s A&R, Underwriting, Legal and Finance teams to lead these acquisitions
- shaping and executing Duetti’s acquisition strategy
- collaborating with Duetti’s Head of Sourcing and the senior leadership team
- operating at the intersection of Music, Operations and Data Analytics
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience in private equity, investment banking, or other relevant finance or professional services role
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret and manipulate complex and unstructured data
- An understanding of the music industry, and an ability to interpret and navigate complex deal structures fluidly
- Experience in opportunity and risk assessment, with an ability to make informed decisions during negotiations and diligence
- Ability to quickly interpret and synthesize legal agreements
- Proven attention to detail, strong work ethic and enthusiasm for working in an early stage start-up environment that requires “self starters” and problem solvers
- A love for music and culture, and a desire to be at the forefront of new business models for artists
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external cross-functional teams and music creators
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or related field
