About the role
- Create new business growth through generating leads, building relationships and prospecting primarily with car wash distributors in a large market with market share upside.
- Manage key accounts of mid-sized and large accounts with an opportunity for increased wallet share with existing customers(car wash distributors and direct customers).
- Remain informed about market trends, competitor offerings and industry developments.
- Thoroughly understand the products or services being sold to car wash distributors and effectively answer customers’ questions and demonstrate value.
- Manage and maintain an existing account base and grow sales in other value-added manufactured products in the company's product offering including car wash market.
- Problem-solving, value-added selling process with focus on winning and retaining customers and repeat consumable business.
- Track all car wash sales activities, generating reports and analyzing sales data.
- Negotiate and close sales contracts and agreements to achieve sales targets.
- Strong customer emphasis on reducing total costs, improving production quality, and achieving Health, Safety and Environmental goals and objectives.
- Effectively communicate customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated resulting in rapid organic sales growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or chemistry preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial sales success in the car wash chemicals industry, chemical distribution sales, chemical application, or relevant industries.
- Proven effectiveness in identifying leads, prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations.
- Proven knowledge and experience selling to end users and distributors.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships at all levels of customers organization.
- Strong consultation, negotiation, collaboration, and problem-resolution skills.
- Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to fulfil customer needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools (Customer Management Relationship), and internet-based programs.
- Professionally developed sales and territory management skills.
- Strong time management skills, process orientation and attention to details.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel.
