About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the technical authority for beverage applications, leading formulation development, process optimization, and troubleshooting using a deep understanding of ingredient functionality (e.g., hydrocolloids, texturizers, color systems, enzymes, and functional ingredients).
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable solutions, supporting pilot trials, industrial validations, and shelf-life studies while ensuring performance under processing conditions.
  • Manage the technical project pipeline end-to-end, including experimental design, documentation, and approval processes, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Drive commercial impact alongside Account Managers, identifying value-creation opportunities, supporting value selling, and influencing customer decisions by linking technical solutions to business outcomes.
  • Collaborate regionally and globally, engaging in technical exchanges, customer visits, and capability-building initiatives to continuously strengthen application know-how and innovation in beverage systems.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles, with a focus on the beverage industry.
  • Experience in R&D or applications involving food colors (carotenoids, natural colors, etc.) and hydrocolloids (pectin, gellan gum, etc.) within the beverage sector.
  • Brewing industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Availability to travel within Latin America and to countries in Europe.
  • Languages: Advanced English and Spanish.
