About the role

  • Creating and detailing electrical system layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams for equipment or facilities
  • Selecting components, performing load calculations, and collaborating with project teams
  • Assembling electrical work packages including scope of work and drawings
  • Providing field guidance for installing design modifications

Requirements

  • 2 years study (full time equivalent) with degree or working toward 4-year degree minimum, focus Electrical Design (Industrial Applications) from an accredited college
  • Detailed Knowledge of electrical codes and requirements including National Electrical Code, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA and IEC
  • Understanding of Motors and Motor Control, Variable Frequency Drives, PLC / DCS I/O interface, Cable & Conduit Sizing
  • Knowledge and application of protective devices including fuses, circuit breakers and motor circuit protectors
  • Experience and Familiarity with use of National Electric Code
  • Proficient and able to work independently using Autocad software to develop and revise CAD drawings.
