About the role
- Reverse engineer fragranced market products by utilizing GC/MS and GCO as per Perfumer request and business needs.
- Along with the other analysts, locally and globally, ensures that all requests are handled and delivered with standardized laboratory protocols.
- Ensure short-medium-long term deliverables are aligned with global strategy.
- Perform market product extractions (e.g. SPE, SPME, liquid-liquid).
- Report data to enhance current AI and Digitization projects.
Requirements
- Experience in reverse engineering of consumer fragrance market products utilizing GC/MS, Headspace, and other techniques.
- Proficient in the identification of perfumery raw materials by both analytical tools and olfactive ability.
- Proficient in SPE, SPME, liquid-liquid, steam distillation and other extraction techniques.
- Able to perform maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment used.
- Good proficiency in using, maintaining, and improving existing databases.
- Able to perform data treatment with basic to advanced software tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Master’s degree in analytical chemistry.
- Strong experience in analytical chemistry with at least 3 years of documented successes in a similar role.
