About the role
- Building a team that monitors and measures performance, forecasts, plans and provides business analysis with a heavy focus on driving profitability
- Improving current capability / modeling as well as working across a matrix organization to measure impact of key organizational initiatives
- Performing economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments
- Analyzing profit-and-loss income statements and creating/preparing reports and recommendations to management
- Generating forecasts and analyzing trends in sales, finance and other areas of business
- Researching economic progression and benchmarks to assist the organization's financial planning
- Creating financial models of 'what if' scenarios for future business planning decisions
- Overseeing the work of multiple subordinate managerial staff to include managers and senior managers
- Participating with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives
- Making final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensuring operations' effective achievement of objectives
- Working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company
- Participating in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people knowledge of the company
- Ensuring budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements
- Establishing function, sub-function strategy and long-term direction and resource planning and allocation; establishing 1–3-year plans and managing work and outcomes to achieve strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Accounting or Finance, preferred)
- MBA strongly preferred
- CPA, CFA, or CMA also desired
- 5+ years of experience with a background that includes accounting and financial analysis and/or pricing / revenue management
- Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory or top-tier management consulting preferred
- Experience leading teams and providing financial support to multiple sites across the United States
- Power user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with business intelligence query and presentation tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Oracle (FCCS/PBCS) or similar preferred
- Experience with process development / improvement
