About the role
- Monitor, analyze, and reconcile inventory between point-of-sale, warehouse, and accounting systems
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and variances
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory accuracy, aging, usage trends, and valuation
- Support period-end closing activities, including reconciliations between subledger and general ledger
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve inventory control procedures and data integrity
- Maintain item master data accuracy and ensure consistent SKU-level tracking
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and make recommendations for resolution
- Assist in cycle counts, audits, and physical inventory processes
- Provide data-driven insights to support cost optimization and forecasting
- Collaborate with IT or system support teams to troubleshoot and enhance system performance related to inventory management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory analysis, accounting, or operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory reporting tools is preferred.
