About the role
- help develop, integrate, and deploy advanced perception systems enabling autonomous vehicles and robots
- work side-by-side with Draper engineers to develop and implement state of the art solutions
- algorithm development, test support, data analysis, and software development for autonomous systems
- capable of contributing to and integrating state-of-the-art algorithms
- analyzing data from simulation and field tests
- effectively working within multi-disciplinary teams
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. (in progress) in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field of study
- Research or technical contributions in one or more of the following fields: vision-aided navigation, computer vision, perception, mapping, sensor fusion, and machine learning
- Programming experience in C/C++ or Python
- Broad robotics experience, especially integration and test with robotics platforms
- Experience with stochastic estimation algorithms (e.g., Extended Kalman Filters)
- Experience with collaborative multi-vehicle teaming algorithms
- Exposure to adjacent subfields of robotics, such as: trajectory or motion planning; planning under uncertainty; optimal control; guidance, navigation & control (GN&C); and deep learning
- Experience working as a member of a multi-developer team using collaboration tools such as Git
- Experience working in a Linux development environment and with Robot Operating System (ROS)
