About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accurately perform prescription data entry
- Build and maintain accurate medication profiles and MARs (Medication Administration Records) for IPU patients
- Understand and apply IPU model variations and profiling requirements for hospice partners
- Review and process faxed medication orders independently, ensuring timely follow-up where needed
- Contact hospices to obtain or clarify prescription information and document interactions
- Maintain accurate and precise call log documentation for all interactions
- Coordinate with local pharmacies on claim adjudication for emergency needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current PA or TN Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in good standing preferred
- 2+ years of pharmacy technician data entry experience; managed care or PBM experience preferred
- Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit design, formularies, and claim adjudication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality service delivery
- Ability to balance efficiency, accuracy, and patient satisfaction
- High School Diploma or equivalent
