About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a Procurement team supporting Technology & Product
- Own procurement strategy, supplier ecosystem, and sourcing roadmap across technology and product categories
- Partner with executive and senior leaders across Technology, Product, Engineering, Data, Information Security, IT, Finance, and Legal
- Lead complex sourcing initiatives and negotiations for software, cloud, licensing, AI, data, and global technology services
- Develop commercial structures covering licensing models, consumption commitments, pricing, ramp schedules, price protections, service levels, and performance measures
- Apply spend, demand, utilization, benchmark, and supplier-market analyses to identify optimization and rationalization opportunities
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Technology stakeholders on contractual, regulatory, cybersecurity, and third-party risks
- Represent Procurement as a strategic advisor to Technology & Product leadership
- Advance enterprise-wide procurement standards, tools, and ways of working
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, vendor management, or a related commercial function
- Significant responsibility for technology or product categories
- Experience leading teams and developing Procurement professionals in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Deep knowledge of SaaS and enterprise licensing, cloud and consumption-based pricing, data, AI, infrastructure, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity, and professional services
- Proven success leading high-value, complex negotiations and building category strategies for business-critical technology suppliers
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, including total cost of ownership, demand and utilization data, benchmarking, and unit economics
- Ability to translate technology roadmaps, architecture considerations, and business requirements into sourcing and supplier strategies
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence Vice President, Senior Vice President, and C-suite stakeholders
- Experience leveraging analytics, AI, automation, and procurement technology
- Experience in sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, technology, financial services, or another regulated industry is a plus
- May be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment
