About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the technical strategy, governance, security posture, and roadmap for Google Workspace Enterprise.
- Establish scalable standards across Gmail, Drive, Vault, Chrome Management, Data Loss Prevention, Context-Aware Access, Security Center, admin roles, and audit reporting.
- Advance automation-first operations through Python, Google Workspace application programming interfaces, REST application programming interfaces, Git-based workflows, and configuration-as-code practices.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, Identity and Access Management, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Engineering to translate platform requirements into secure, scalable controls.
- Mentor teammates, strengthen technical documentation, and raise the engineering maturity of Platform Operations through standards, reviews, and repeatable practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience owning enterprise software-as-a-service platforms in a technical operations environment, with hands-on experience in Google Workspace Enterprise or a similar collaboration platform.
- A strong understanding of enterprise platform governance, security controls, access management, audit readiness, and operational standards in a complex environment.
- Experience using and writing scripting, application programming interfaces, automation tools, Git-based workflows, or version control practices to improve platform administration, reporting, lifecycle management, and repeatable workflows.
- Experience working with identity and access management concepts or tools, such as Okta, Entra ID, Active Directory, Security Assertion Markup Language, or System for Cross-domain Identity Management.
- Strong communication, ownership, and technical judgment, with the ability to build trust, guide teammates, and influence standards across teams.
