About the role

  • You will support strategic purchasing in all procurement-related tasks for new products and product changes.
  • You will work closely with development teams, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure required materials are reliably available and delivered on time.
  • You will obtain and compare quotations and prepare well-founded supplier selection decisions.
  • You will place orders for prototypes, tools, and pre-series requirements and resolve technical, commercial, or logistical deviations.
  • You will accompany the ramp-up of new products and participate in procurement rounds to ensure a smooth start of production.
  • You will implement technical and logistical changes at suppliers as part of change management.
  • You will support our Advanced and Lifecycle Procurement Engineers on supplier-related topics.
  • You are encouraged to contribute to process improvements and standardization tasks within the team and across the purchasing organization.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in a relevant field
  • Initial experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing industry company
  • Confident user of MS Office and SAP/S4
  • Basic commercial and technical understanding
  • Good English skills
  • Experience with ARAS or a comparable document management system
  • Initial experience working in cross-functional project teams is desirable
