About the role

  • Biosignal processing, particularly respiratory and cardiovascular signals
  • Data-driven modeling of components of the cardiovascular system and/or lung function
  • Exploration of alternative methods and measurement techniques to determine vital signs for exertion monitoring

Requirements

  • Enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related degree program (at least in the 4th semester) or equivalent
  • Programming experience in software development (Python, MATLAB)
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing, dynamic systems simulation, and statistical modeling techniques
  • Reproducible working practices (e.g., Git, notebooks, MLflow)
  • Ability to understand clinical workflows and user perspectives, and to communicate confidently in German or English
