About the role

  • You will support strategic purchasing in all procurement-related tasks for new products and product modifications.
  • You will work closely with development teams, purchasing, and suppliers.
  • You will ensure that required materials are available reliably and on time.
  • You will obtain quotes, compare them, and prepare well-founded supplier selection decisions.
  • You will place orders for prototypes, tooling, and pre-series requirements and resolve technical, commercial, or logistical discrepancies.
  • You will accompany the series launch of new products and participate in procurement review rounds.
  • You will implement technical and logistical changes with suppliers as part of change management.
  • You will support our Advanced and Lifecycle Procurement Engineers on supplier-related topics.
  • You are encouraged to contribute to process improvements and standardization tasks within the team and across the purchasing organization.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational or technical training in a relevant field.
  • Initial experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing company.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP (including S/4HANA).
  • Basic commercial and technical understanding.
  • Good command of English.
  • Experience with ARAS or a comparable document management system.
  • Experience in cross-functional project teams is desirable.
