About the role

  • Support strategic procurement in all purchasing-related tasks for new products and product modifications
  • Work closely with development teams, procurement and suppliers
  • Ensure required materials are available reliably and on time
  • Request and evaluate quotations, perform comparisons and prepare substantiated supplier selection decisions
  • Place orders for prototypes, tooling and pre-series requirements
  • Resolve technical, commercial or logistical discrepancies
  • Support the production ramp-up of new products and participate in procurement review meetings
  • Implement technical and logistical changes at suppliers as part of change management
  • Support our Advanced and Lifecycle Procurement Engineers on supplier-related matters
  • Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives within the team and across procurement

Requirements

  • Completed job-specific vocational training (apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Initial experience in strategic procurement, ideally within a manufacturing company
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP/S4
  • Basic commercial and technical understanding
  • Good command of English
  • Experience with ARAS or a comparable document management system
  • Initial experience working in cross-functional project teams is desirable
