About the role

  • With solid UX research, you will actively contribute to the development of medical consumables and accessory products.
  • Conduct user research to capture the needs and workflows of users handling medical consumables and accessories.
  • From this, derive clear requirements for new products and product optimizations.
  • Plan and conduct formative and summative usability tests with a focus on the safe use of consumables and accessories.
  • Document results in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC 62366-1, FDA guidance).
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary development teams to create user-centered, practice-oriented solutions for clinical use.
  • Actively participate in the further development of methods, processes and our UX strategy — particularly with regard to the special variety and complexity of consumables and their application contexts.

Requirements

  • Degree in Psychology, Human–Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Medical Engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience in user research and usability testing, ideally in a medical environment, with confident handling of regulatory requirements and related documentation
  • Knowledge of relevant usability standards in the medical device context and, ideally, knowledge of clinical workflows and user groups in healthcare
  • Analytical thinking, a structured and quality-conscious way of working, strong communication skills, team spirit, and very good German and English skills
