About the role

  • support the strategic procurement team in all purchasing-related tasks for new products and product modifications
  • work closely with development teams, purchasing and suppliers
  • ensure that required materials are available reliably and on time
  • obtain and compare quotations and prepare well-founded supplier selection decisions
  • issue purchase orders for prototypes, tooling and pre-series requirements
  • clarify and resolve technical, commercial or logistical deviations
  • support the series ramp-up of new products
  • participate in procurement rounds
  • implement technical and logistical changes with suppliers as part of change management
  • support our Advanced and Lifecycle Procurement Engineers on supplier-related topics
  • actively contribute to process improvements and standardization tasks within the team and across the procurement function

Requirements

  • completed vocational or technical training in a relevant field
  • initial experience in strategic sourcing, ideally in a manufacturing/industrial company
  • confident use of MS Office and SAP S/4
  • basic commercial and technical understanding
  • good command of English
  • experience with ARAS or a comparable document management system
  • initial experience in cross-functional project teams desirable
